GRADES 1-6

The New Testament Christian School’s Elementary program consists of grades 1 through 6. The primary goal in these grades is to provide a encouraging and enriching foundation of learning while building basic academic skills. We are deeply committed to our students and their future success. The seeds of academic mastery planted in our Kindergarten program are a wonderful introduction and preparation for the more intensive subjects in the elementary grades.

In the elementary years, students concentrate on a more intensive phonics program, reading, mathematics, literature classics and poetry, geography, history, science, and the arts. Our Elementary curriculum is enriched so that students can experience their Biblical approach to learning not just inside a classroom, but also through specifically-designed field trips and participation in relevant learning experiences.

Classroom teachers foster a love for learning, engage the mind of the student, and build critical thinking skills that will transition students to the Middle School program seamlessly.

Since Character determines destiny, academics alone is not enough.  In addition to the academic evaluation, students are held accountable in the area of effort and conduct according to Christ’s standard of character.  Students must have a right attitude and conscience towards God and mankind; thus, biblical leadership is cultivated and demonstrated by students as they grow in their faithfulness in their homes, churches, and communities.
