Cape Cod churches

HOW WE BEGAN

The New Testament Christian School was established in 1980 due to a desire of church families of The New Testament Church of Cedarville who wanted a decisively Christian education for their children. After prayer and contemplation, the church body decided to move ahead with starting a Christian school that was Bible-based, reinforced Christian character, provided a rigorous academic environment and curriculum, and partnered with Christian families with the goal of biblical discipleship training. Dr. Paul Jehle, Founding Principal, began with 28 students spanning from Kindergarten to Grade 5.

THROUGH THE YEARS

Since the early 80s, teams of adults and youth have traveled to 35 states and seven foreign countries, resulting in the inception of hundreds of biblical-approach schools. Students have voluntarily participated in mission trips to foreign nations to help build churches and lend a hand to ministries involved in building God’s kingdom in nations such as Haiti, Brazil, and Guatemala. Students continue to participate in democratic and patriotic-themed written essay and audio essay contests, placing and excelling at both the local and national levels. For over 15+ years, students, faculty, and staff have participated in community service through their dedicated involvement in the America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration & Parade. Our emphasis is in developing character of servanthood and involvement in the community within the student.

WHERE WE ARE TODAY

Currently we continue to emphasize a biblical worldview while encouraging a demonstration of Christian character in our student body. Students are challenged at every level to reason and think biblically according to abilities based on their age and experience. Our students consistently score two to four years above their grade level according to standardized national testing. Our students excel in demonstrating a biblical worldview per the results of their scores on the P.E.E.R.S. Test, which measures students’ biblical worldview and reasoning in five areas: politics, economics, education, religion and social issues. To date, over 92% of our graduates have gone on to higher education at a four-year university. This serves as evidence that TNTCS is producing scholars that understand and have biblical answers to a bankrupt secular culture. Intellectually, our students are prepared through a Christ-centered college preparatory curriculum taught by Christian teachers.
